Story by Jules Schermer Directed by Robert T. Sparr Guest Cast
|
When evidence that a man scheduled to be hanged in Cheyenne is innocent, Dan tries to send word. The telegraph wire is cut twice, Johnny is shot in ambush when he tries to ride to Cheyenne and finally Troop has to apprehend the real killer before he can get there himself. The name W. Hermanos for the teleplay credit means that it was written during a writer's strike by a writer using a pseudonym in order to avoid being fined by the union. Most such scripts were recycled scripts from other Warner's shows that simply needed to have the new characters inserted. This story was written by the show's producer.
