Johnny wiped the sweat from his face and replaced his hat, “Hey Scott, how
about a swim?”
“Sounds like a great idea little brother.”
“Who you callin’ little?” Johnny smirked and took off at a gallop toward
their favorite pond.
When they reached the pond they raced toward the water leaving the ground
littered with their sweaty clothes.
A loud yell was followed by two splashes and lots of laughter.
Unknown to the brothers their father watched from the hilltop, he loved
finally being able to watch his sons laugh and play.
The smile on his face was the outward sign of the happiness in his heart.
