The September 1991 issue of Daytime TV introduced Peter in his new role as Blake Hayes on The Bold & the Beautiful. According to the article Peter was very happy with the varied aspects of the Blake character. The article also mentioned Peter's lifestyle which included a healthy diet and many forms of exercise.
The September 17, 1991 issue of Soap Opera Digest also introduced Peter in his new role. The article had the improbable title, "You Can Lead a Horse to Water . . . But You Can't Make An Actor Do Something He Doesn't Want To". The title referred to the fact that before he accepted the role of Blake Hayes, Peter changed him from a commodities broker to a self-made Texas millionaire. [In our opinion, if the money is right most actors below the ranks of Meryl Streep will do most anything short of porn. After all, Peter did a movie called Rape Squad which was as bad as the title suggests.] The article also speaks of Peter's fifth wife Mary whom he married in 1986. She was only three months older than Peter's son Matthew and quite an athlete. [They split in 1999 which by our calculations made it a marriage that worked longer than most.] The article has a mini-biography and ends with note of Peter's plan to make a western movie in Italy. An article with nice pictures of Peter and Mary was published in the July 7, 1992 Soap Opera Digest.
